Bio: Mr. Graybar is a psychopathic murderer in distinctive ridiculous clothing--a cap, a sweatshirt with the abreviation DTK LAMF, a pair of jeans, Converse All-Star tennis shoes, and a cape fashioned from an old towel. In his first appearance, he explains to a psychiatrist, Dr. Kopern, how much he enjoys his day and night dreams dreams about killing every person he has met in the most gruesome ways. Kopern drives him out, claiming that he sees an image "etched on your retinae" of killing his infant son. Graybar says that "in this world, one must be mad to go on living sanely." It is unclear if he has actually killed anyone.
Some time later, he picks up a Nightmare Box that Man-Thing and a group of Thog's demons are struggling to recover in an alley in Atlanta, Georgia.
He then shows up at Steve Gerber's New York apartment. He tells Gerber that he is a friend of Dakimh the Enchanter, leaves the Nightmare Box with Gerber, and tells them they have met before, in "The Shadows of the City"--the title of the first story he appeared in, before disappearing.
