Morgan Edge (DC)(Earth-1 - Pre Crisis)

Search for 'Morgan Edge (DC)(Earth-1 - Pre Crisis)' on Amazon

Bio:
CEO of Galaxy Broadcasting, one-time owners of The Daily Planet. Directly responsible for sending Clark to his TV career at WGBS. Pre-Crisis, his "evil clone" was head of Intergang and the "real" Edge was just a harder-edged version of Perry White. Thus a number of stories, like the one in Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #139 have to be reinterpreted so as to include only one man named "Morgan Edge".

Notes:
Morgan Edge's real name is Morris Edelstein and he is the son of Sophie Edelstein. He was once a Merchant Marine whose ship pulled into a Western sea port. Morgan Edge stumbled into a high stakes poker game while in port where he won a TV station. Action Comics #468.

Morgan Edge has a niece named Stephanie Edge.
