Starman (DC)(02 - Post Crisis)(Starman of 1951) Real Name: Dr. Charles McNider / David Knight Search for 'Starman (DC)(02 - Post Crisis)(Starman of 1951)' on eBay Bio: For a long time, the identity of this hero, protector of Opal City for a year and a day in 1951, was a complete mystery. However, Starman Jack Knight recently took a trip back in time where he discovered the truth. This Starman was an identity assumed by Dr Mid-Nite (using some of Starman's technology along with an airship designed by the Red Torpedo) after he and other heroes had been ordered to stop their activities by the HUAC and whilst the original Starman was inactive, suffering a mental breakdown. Later in the year, the identity was assumed by Jack's brother, David Knight, who had been flung back in time an instant before his untimely death in order to have the chance to be a true hero.
