Powers: Range of powers frequently a matter of dispute, though generally he was seen to be less powerful in the 1930s, but roughly of the same power-set as the more familiar, Earth 1 version thereafter.
Weaknesses: Lois was about his only weakness for his first 15 years. Then, in Superman #61, kryptonite finally made it into the books, and he was revealed to be weakened, but not (at least at first) fatally affected by those little bits from home. He was inconsistently seen as not being invulnerable to magic--which, as with all versions of Superman, isn't quite the same thing as saying he is especially debilitated by magic.
Bio: The original version of the character, as created by Siegel and Shuster.Retroactively accepted as "Superman of Earth Two"--although there are some scholars who say that the differences between "Superman of Earth Two" and the "Superman of the Golden Age" are too different to be considered the same character. It is clear, though, that DC wants us to believe that they're one in the same, so that's what we'll try to believe. It does get tricky with some particular stories--generally those in the formative years of the multiverse--to do that.In the years leading up to the Crisis, this version was visually distinct from the "main", Earth 1 version in that he had greying temples and a version of the suit taken from the first few years of Action Comics. However, in the opening years of the multiverse, he wasn't really all that visually different from Earth 1's Superman. There are many stories from the Weisinger years in which it was important that the story explicitly said it was on Earth Two for one to know which Superman it was.One of the significant differences between Superman I and Superman II was that he never had a career as any version of Superboy. With the merging of the multiverse post-Crisis, Superman III inherited this trait from Superman I.
