Silas King was a latent mutant. When he gained his abilities, he adopted the name Solarr. He would partner up with Klaw and the Emissaries of Evil led by Egghead. He would go up against heroes like Captain America, the Defenders and others. Eventually, he was locked up in the Project Pegasus facility.

A few times Solarr managed to escape from his cell at the facility, but was always returned. The last time Solarr was freed, it was by fellow inmate Bres. However, his freedom was short, as he was killed while Bres was slaying guards.
