Rik Sunn (Post-Crisis)

Powers:
Rik Sunn is a normal human with above-average combat and military/strategic skills.

Bio:
Born on the planet Wolfholme, one of Earth's outer space outposts in the indeterminate future, Sunn was a great pilot on his homeworld, but shunned a life in the Navy to work for the Corps Diplomathique, which he saw as stopping wars but which his younger brother and the rest of his family viewed with cynicism. Shortly after he left Wolfholme for Earth to begin his work as a "Diplo," Wolfholme was destroyed by a Sauroid military strike. Working with a ragtag group of pilots and rebels he picked up at a spaceport, Sunn managed to turn back a similar assault meant for one of Earth's other space colonies. After this, the group was officially named the "Sun Devils" by Prime Speaker Temple of Beta Centauri. Granted immunity for any of their previous offenses and fitted with experimental aircrafts and special uniforms, the Sun Devils became Temple's private strike force, doing things that the Navy couldn't and acting on his behalf when Earth's government declared martial law and stripped him of his office and powers. After Sunn and his crew stopped the spread of the Sauroid empire, he apparently dedicated the rest of his life to stalking Sauroid leader Karvus Khun, whom nobody else believed to be alive. While the main Sun Devils series took place in the future, and apparently in its own separate universe, an aged and possibly insane Sunn appeared in 1994 in the DC Universe. He and the daughter of one of his pilots caught and assassinated an ancient and ailing Khun, and while the girl was saved by Superman, Sunn himself appeared to have died in the blast.

Notes:
According to a March 2008 Comic Related interview, Booster Gold co-writer Jeff Katz claimed that Rik was secretly a member of the supervillain team The Time Stealers.
