Brother Nature
Real Name: Mark Diering
Search for 'Brother Nature' on Amazon

Powers:
Brother Nature could communicate with animals, and convince them to do his bidding. He also was able to control the weather, causing gale-force wind, instant thunderstorms, flash-floods, and even lightning bolts to crash to the ground. He also could control the Earth's tectonic plates, causing earthquakes. Brother Nature also talked like he owned at least one Phish album.

Bio:
(Captain America I#336 (fb) ) - A nature enthusiast, the man who went on to become Brother Nature decided to become a park ranger. For 3 years, he was fairly happy with his job, until he found out that a large section of woodlands was sold to private developers. Feeling that he had no other choice, Brother Nature used every ecoterrorist technique in the book to stop the developers, before he was eventually caught and beaten. The workers, thinking they had murdered him, threw him in a ditch and bulldozed it over. While he lay in his makeshift grave, he had a vision of the goddess of the Earth appear before him. She appointed him nature's guardian, and granted him his superhuman powers. For the next six months, Brother Nature worked alongside nature in keeping the developers out.

(Captain America I#336) - In Washington state, after being forced out of his job as Captain America, Steve Rogers met Brother Nature, and tried to convince him to stop endangering the workers' lives. Brother Nature lashed out, using earthquakes, stampeding deer, even a giant bear, to stop Rogers, but he was able to escape them all. Brother Nature finally caught Rogers with an exceptionally large earthquake, but he was caught in it as well. Injured in the fall, Brother Nature ended up telling Rogers his story. Rogers was eventually able to carry Brother Nature out of the crater, but the forest was ruined. Seeing that he had caused the very destruction he attempted to prevent, Brother Nature broke into tears.

(Civil War: Battle Damage Report) - Tony Stark considered Brother Nature as a potential Initiative recruit.
