Van - Zee (Earth-1)

Search for 'Van - Zee (Earth-1)' on Amazon

Powers:
In Kandor, none. On Earth, Superman-like.

Weaknesses:
On Earth, kryptonite. In Kandor, he's vulnerable to all the "normal" worries that a Kryptonian on Krypton would have.

Plus he's really small.

So that begs the question, if Superman were to one day drop the bottle city of Kandor, would the residents perish in the instant before full exposure to Earth's atmosphere made them all invulnerable? We'll probably never know, as the bottled city has been pretty scarce since the Crisis.

Bio:
When not Nightwing II, Van-Zee has had a greater body of appearances, justifying his inclusion as a "separate" character. Rarely he's been seen as simply himself, a fairly influential member of Kandorian society. More often, he dresses like Superman and is a part of the Supermen Emergency Squad. Very occasionally, he's been used as Superman's doppleganger. Oddly, though, he's only a double for Superman. Another Kandorian (Vol-Don) is Clark Kent's double.

See also: Vol-Don.

Notes:
Nim-Zee was his father.

First Appearance: Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane (1958) #15

Other Identities:
Nightwing (DC)(Earth-1 - Pre Crisis)(02 - Van-Zee)
