Powers:
gypsie with super-strength

Bio:
Hammer was recruited by Ivan Pushkin into the Russian mafia as a young man. He rose through the ranks quickly, becoming one of Pushkin's two main operatives, alongside his partner, Sickle, becoming one of Pushkin's personal bodyguards. Hammer was dispatched to assasinate Major Barrington who was being held by Department H before giving testimony at an inquest. The mercenary known as Maverick, brainwashed into Pushkin's service, was sent in as a distraction. He broke through the defences and attacked Barrington. While the attention was focussed on Barrington, Sickle attacked Department H's Director of Foreign Affairs, Pierre Cloche. While the attention was then focussed on Cloche, Hammer moved in, fought and disabled Puck.

After killing Barrington, both Hammer and Sickle were captured and imprisoned in the Ice Box, Department H's prison. They were later released by the Confessor and returned to the service of Ivan the Terrible.
