Along with Quex-Ul, he killed a Rondor but he used its horn to make a serum to render himself immortal. It also made him a human Rondor-hideous and foul-smelling. He outlived Krypton and finally came to Earth, where he fought Superman. Superman used Nam-Ek's horn to stop a plague, then he, too, was exiled into the Phantom Zone.
