Asylum (01 - Unknown) Real Name: Unknown Search for 'Asylum (01 - Unknown)' on Amazon Powers: The first Asylum was imbued with Darkforce energies that converted her body into a psionic mist that caused hallucinations in anyone who touched it. She later was able to use her Darkforce energies as an offensive weapon. Weaknesses: Aslyum was vulnerable at the one solid part of her body, her golden mask. Bio: Very little is known about the mysterious woman known as Asylum previous to her first battle with The New Warriors as part of the Genetech assembled group Psionex, including her name. It is known that she was hospitalized in a mental hospital for some reason, before being used by Genetech for their research in creating superhuman beings. Given the name and powers of Asylum, she participated as a member of Psionex during its early activities, such as battling with the young heroes of the New Warriors. Asylum's new form apparently prevents her from talking. She seems to enjoy causing other people mental stress and anguish by using her powers. She is fairly passive when in battle. Asylum simply engulfs her victim in her gaseous body and attacks him mentally, ignoring everyone else unless they attack her. Asylum's body has been transformed into non-corporeal mists, providing her with protection against all forms of attack, except mental attacks, although apparently Asylum's head remains solid. After being defeated while fighting solo against the New Warriors Nova, Firestar and Speedball, she seemed to dissipate except for her mask, and has not been seen in action since.
