Sprocket (Marvel)
Real Name: Amelia Barnhardt
Search for 'Sprocket (Marvel)' on Amazon

Bio:
Amelia Barnhardt was once a mercenary. During that time in her life she became friends with fellow mercenary Andrew Chord. It was through this friendship that Sprocket was able to get the position as the pilot for Night Thrasher and the New Warriors.

Once during a mission in Rhodesia she had a one night stand with fellow mercenary Donald Josh Clenendon (aka Cardinal). The next day Cardinal disappeared leaving Sprocket with the bar tab.

Sprocket soon found out she was pregnant and eventually gave birth to a daughter named Valerie. Sprocket chose not to tell Cardinal about their daughter. When Valerie was six she was enrolled in a military academy. At 18 she joined the air force to be a pilot like her mother. Lt. Valerie Barnhardt's military career was cute short when she crippled the commanding officer who raped her. Valerie was offered a chance to clear her record for enrolling in the CSA's Redeemers program. Valerie took the codename. Valerie and many of her fellow Redeemers were murdered by the supervillain Graviton. Valerie died at the age of 21.

After the body was recovered by SHIELD a DNA test was done that confirmed that Cardinal was indeed Meteorite's father. Sprocket visited Cardinal in prison and told him the truth about their daughter. According to Sprocket she hadn't spoken with her daughter in the three years since she joined the military.
